Disney•Pixar’s “UP” might be marketed toward children as is the tradition with all DISNEY films; however, this particular animated journey explores real world themes that will inspire the imagination of the adults watching with their children. This is the first Disney•Pixar film that manages to stir in the direction of the various overseas animation-phenomenons such as "Spirited Away" by director Hayao Miyazaki. Not only will you laugh a great deal, but there are situations that will pull on your emotional strings as well. Granted, this all occurs within the first 15 minutes of the film! Best of all it’s brought to you in DISNEY DIGITAL 3D format which is how this movie was meant to be experienced. Disney•Pixar’s “UP” is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell.
